CHAMPIONSHIPS BEING CONTESTED | i The annual championship events; have been started on the local greens. Entries this year, while not quite up to standard in numbers, are quite good under the existing circumstances and some interesting games should result. W. Baxter (singles), W. Howat and L. Llttlejorn (pairs) will be defending their titles and are playing in good form. The Aperne presented by Mr Alf. Hayter goes with the singles title and the newly presented Frank Nicholson Memorial Troiphy presented by Mrs C. Thomas is held by the! winner of the Junior Chmpionship singles.
