WHAKATANE BOROUGH EMERGENCY PRECAUTIONS SERVICE BLACKOUT TRIAL Public notice is hereby given that an alert will be sounded on one of the evenings between Friday next February 27 and Monday next March 2 inclusive, for tho purpose of a blackout trial under emergency conditions within the Whakatane Borough. The all clear signal will be sounded at the conclusion of the alert. A total blackout will apply during the period of the trial, meaning that no light whatsoever shall be visible from outside any building or enclosure, and that the regulations respecting the display of j outsidei lighting and the use of vehicles during an emergency shall strictly apply. Refer to leaflets issued to all occupiers, further copies of which may be obtained at the Borough Office. Members of the E.P.S. attached to the Traffic Section, the Wardens Section and Wardens Messengers only will report to their stations and proceed with their respective duties.
