ARK ROYAL MIRACLE
ONLY ONE LIFE LOST One man only out of a crew of 1600 lost his life in the sinking of the Ark Royal. Deafening applause greeted theFirst Lord's announcement that he had just had a telephone message from the Admiralty indicating that out of the huge company of the Ark Royal we had lost no more than one or two men! Later came the Admiral tv figure c-f one only. , j Mr Alexander also revealed that as a result of the brilliant operation carried out by Captain Agnew in thc Mediterranean early in the week lour Italian destroyers: had been sunk and another was damaged. This was in addition to the 10 enemy supply ships sunk.
