LAST WEEK'S COMPETITION
CROSSING THE RIVER
Ha r ha, ha. I certainly had you well .puzzled that time. All the same I was very glad to see that some of you were smart enough to pick it correctly, instead of saying like one bright youth that the boy and the girl, the pup and the father hung on to the back of the boat while mother rowed across towing them ,behind. You and I never thought of that! Well the winners are Bruce Thomas Noleen Loomes Olive Hunter Stella Hunter Congratulations, your free picture tickets await you at the BEACON. Here was the correct answer: The boy and the girl went across first. Then the boy rowed back, and tlio lady rowed ever; then back came the girl. and girl then crossed together again, and boy comes back. Father crosses, and girl brings boat back. Boy and girl cross again and hard-working boy rows back again for dog. Sec it? P.T.W.
