MEXICAN SHOES
These are something every ono can make lor house slippers and for running about in the garden. Buy ordinary soles or inner soles from a store and get a supply of brightcoloured material. Dressmakers' scraps are .just the thing. Make into strips just long enough and wide enough to go over the front of the loot, leaving the toes and heel bare. Hem neatly and fasten with ordinady thumb tacks pushed into the edge of the sole. Be sure the strips are net too tight. Of course all the girls will want to use bread ribbon, so they can make Ilu ir shoes to match llieir frocks.
