MEXICO FOR PERFUME
FLOWERS GROW IN PROFUSION HAS MUCH IN HER FAVOUR To-day Mexico is being mentioned as a new perfume centre, comments the New York Times. And while it is doubtful that the land below the Rio Grande will attain the stellar place France holds (or held) in the manufacture of sweet-smelling essences, those who follow such matters say that M,exieo has much in her favour. For instance, llowers grow in profusion there, they are easily and cheaply cultivated, and among the refugees at present living in Mexico are a number of French perfume experts. Mexico, too, is a convenient distributing centre for the estern Hemisphere.
