Miraculous Escape A two year old girl, daughter of Mr and Mrs C. P. Quayle, : had a remarkable escape from death at Takaka, in the Nelson district. The child fell 20ft from the balcony of the Telegraph Hotel. Eye-witnesses-say that she turned a complete somersault, landed on her feet on the tar-sealed pavement and Avas then thrown on her back.
