RACING NOTES
RAKANUI HOLIDAYING The Hastings representative, Rakanul, who showed winning form at Ellerslie in the spring, and ran a good second to Sly Fox in bcr at Tc Awamutu, is still being indulged in a paddock spell. It is understood that he will join the Jeffard team in a few weeks. ROYAL STAR II The English imported horse, Royal Star 11, is to join the ranks of hurdlers this season. He is partial to heavy going, so will be in his element on winter tracks. MAJORITY The successful New Plymouth candidate Majority, is now being trained by Lcn Dulieu. He isi expected to rank high in jumping races within the next three months. TO RE-APPEAR An interesting entrant for the •Tourist Handicap at Rotorua is Miss Baffles. As a two year old she Avon the Avondale iStakcs brilliantly, but quickly lost form, has not raced often or well. As she has not been hurried in her preparation she may race prominently.
