LINES OF COMMUNICATION

PARADE AT WEEK-END

The Whakatane and Opotiki Company of Motor Transport Company Lines and Communications drew praise from the 0.C., Captain Harpur on Sunday when a parade was held on the Domain. Other visitors present were Captain Potter, Adjutant of the Company, Rotorua, Captain Allan, Rotorua Commander, and Mr Smith, also of Rotorua. Lieut. N. Semmens, Commander of the Whakatane and Opotiki Section, was in charge of the manoeuvres at the conclusion of the parade of thirteen vehicles, Captain Hdrpur congratulated the men on their prowess after only a short time hi operation. The opportunity was taken to, announce that the section not quite at full strength and a few morn drivers are required.
