OBITUARY

MR ROBERT MARTIN The death took place on January 29 in the Ewart Hospital, Wellington, of Mr Robert Maitland Martin, aged 55 years. Mr Martin lived in O'potiki about 26 years ago, being a brother of Mr Alf. Martin, who used to conduct a blacksmith business in Opotiki, but who now lives in Whakatane. The late Mr Martin married Miss Helen Parkinson, daughter of the late Mr and Mrs J. H. Parkinson of O'potiki. Mr Martin's parents were well-known in Opotiki, and used to conduct the Opotiki Hotel.
