WORK IN BOROUGH
FOREMAN-ENGINEER'S REPORT
The following report was presented to Monday's meeting of the Borough Council by the foreman-engi-neer, Mr W. S. Henderson-:—■
Following streets have been sprayed with road oil and covered with % inch chips: Ramson block, Salonika Street, Sutherland Block. Eastern portion Salonika Street from Crete Street covering chips reduced to Vi inch and 5-8 inch. Thirteen chains concrete path Commerce Street south from Domain Road ha? been laid and spoil carted to level street side. A start has been made with Stewart Street concrete path. A draining gang is working on trimming and cleaning of all drains in Borough. Mower is working cutting street sides. King Street surface drainage outlet through Washer's extended 30 feet using 36 x 24 inch concrete pipes. Trees at Heads Park cultivated. Maintenance cemetery and footpaths. Number of blowouts in mains have occurred. These have been quickly repaired. Further quarrying and crushing carried out, footpath shingle hauled,
