PETROL RESTRICTIONS
Sir,—Judging from your correspondent writing under the Nom de Plume "E.P.S. MemWfer" would appear that he is an interested member of the Carriers' Association and as such I would consider the essence of his letter as so much propaganda to try and place the farmer just where he wants him. We —the farmers—know what to expect if they—the carriers—could hedge us in. I think this new outburst is uffr called for, the licence controllers of benzine are doing their duty to extent that there is little benzine to be wasted from farm trucks. For your correspondent to- suggest that farmers r£tre Fifth Columnists, is to say the least a contemptible action. Whilst the majority of farmers trucks are being held in requisition for any emergency they are also doing a good job o-n the farm. Yours etc., HOME GUARD.
