Grass Fire On Saturday afternoon the fire brigade received a call to Landing Road wliere carelessness had resulted in grass, gorse and lupins ignited and causing a large blaze. The brigade soon quelled the outbreak. Welcome News Mr and Mrs T. Morgan receiver!... a cable 011 Friday from their , son, Hamilton, stating that he was safe and well after his service in Malaya. He is still seeing considerable action Avith. the R.A.F. in the defence of Singapore. Mrs M. Cummings has also received neAVS of her husband who is safe and sound, while Mr and Mrs R. C. Wilson had a bright letter from their son Avho is making good progress after being wounded.,
