WEDDING BELLS

GRAHAM—DENT

On January 3rd at St. George's Church, Whakatane, the marriage took place of Irene , Averil, only daughter of Mrs R. Dent and the late Mr H. C. Dent, to Albert Churches Graham, of -Kauri, Whangarei. The ceromny'was performed by the Rev. S. G. Caulton. Mrs Frazer played the weckling music. The church was prettily decorated with pink and blue hyderangea and Christmas lilies. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of Mr C. W. Rekl, of Qpotiki, a very old family friend, looked charming in a beautiful gown of ivory radium lace cut on slim lines and flaring into a short train. Her veil of illusion tulle was held In place by a knot of white velvet flowers. Her bouquet was a sheath - Christmas lilies and maiden hair fern. Tn attendance as bridesmaid was Miss Mavis Graham, sister of the bridegroom, who wore a frock of turquoise blue embroidered net over matching taffeta. She carried a Victorian posy of pink cornflowers and maiden hair fern. The small flower girl, Carole Benseman, wore a dainty frock of turquoise blue net trimmed with pink flowers and carried a posy of pink sweet peas. The bridegroom was attended by Mr Farnk Benseman as best man. After the ceremony the reception ivas held in the BeLl Tearooms where Mrs Dent received the guests wearing a frock of bronze cloquc. She carried a posy of lemon beautalong. The bridegroom's mother wore a navy frock relieved with white over which she wore a matching coat. She carried a posy of blue cornflowers. The Rev. S. G. Caulton ably performed the duties of toast master and the usual toasts were honoured. The bride's travelling frock was blair blue mott crepe with wine accessories.
