R.S.A. SCHEME

COLLECTION OF CALVES
Thc secretary of Zone K, Whakatane Borough and County Patriotic Committee, Mr G. G. Lucas, reports having received the following letter from the secretary of the Auckland Provincial Patriotic Council.
"The Standing Committee Oif the Provincial Council, at its meeting on 27th Januar3 T , 1912, adopted the recommendation of the National Patriotic Conference of 20th November, 1941, that the Returned Services Association be appointed collecting agents for the purposes of the Association's scheme for the col-
lection of calves (which are to be grazed at the expense of private individuals until such time as members of the Forces return from overseas and they will be used to assist those members who go on the land).
"IT the Association is operating the foregoing scheme in your Zone will yon kindly supply the name and address of the branch so that the necessary appointment as an Expending Agent for the purposes of the scheme may be issued by Provincial Headquarters."
