UGLY SCENE
BRAWL AT TANEATUA* FIVE MEN 1 BEFORE COURT As the result of a very ugly scene in the street at Taneatua on Saturday iaifternoon last, during the absence of the local constable who was in Auckland on escort duty, five natives appeared before Messrs Moody and Hayward, J's.P., at Taneatua charged l with fighting. The! were George Walker and They were George Walker and Matatua T'aipeti, of Ruatoki, Naki, Mick and Jimmy Tiopira, of Waimana. All five pleaded guilty to the charge and Constable O. S. Rice explaining what had taken. placeFines totalling £13 15s 6d were imposed'.
