TINKER—BUSH
A pretty wedding was solemnised on Saturday last at the Methodist Church, when Miss AVinifred M. Bush, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs W. Bush, of Sydney, was married to Wilfred F. Tinker, younger son of Mr and the late Mrs Tinker of Christchurch. The church presented a pleasing picture decorated with pretty tones > of pink carnations, phlox and hyderangea interspersed with greenery. The Rev. G. V. Thomas perform.-* ed the ceremony and Mr Barrowmai* acted as best man and Mr Wallwork as usher. The popular bride who in the absence of her father, .was given away by Mr A. Hayter, looked charming m a mist grey ensemble with navy accessories and wearing a shoulder spray of salmon pink gladioli with; maiden hair fern. Miss Myrtle Webber, as bridesmaid, wore a daintily embroidered frock of dusty pink with a head swathe of blue spotted net, shoulder spray of roses and delphinium with maiden hair fern. The reception was h§ld at- the Whakatane Hotel where about sixty guests gathered to do honour to thei couple-: The guests .were received by Mrs A. Hayter Avho wore a teal blue georgette costume, with navy hat and shoulder spray of pale gold gladioli. A happjr informality was the keynote of the proceedings which terminated when the newly weds departed by service car for Rotorua, the bride Avearing a blue green ensemble with matching accessories. Mr and Mirs Tinker who were the recipients of numerous beautiful and useful gifts intend to make . their future home in Auckland. They were indebted to Mr and Mrs Hayter through whose kindness, the reception was planned and tha breakfast and cake provided.
