REGENT THRILLS OF MAGIC | "The Thief of Bagdad" abounds in scenes unwinding breath-taking magic—magic which transforms a stony desert into an Enchanted City, a Flying Horse which Hies into the clouds and. returns to the spot whence it took off; a Djinni, who is released from a tiny bottle, and becomes as high as the highest mountain and towers over the city of Bagdad; the Black Galleon, a mystery ship sailed by a wicked magician; the Flying Carpet, which goes from city to city like an air-plane; the All-Seeing Eye, a ruby stolen from a Giant Goddess, which gives its owner power to see whatever he wishes to see, no matter how for away. All the glories of the one thousand and one nights—their romance, their magic, their wonder —
have been woven into the most exciting motion picture, in glorious technfcolour, the screen has ever seen. The picture is being released by United Artists. Abbott and Costello, those screamingly funny fellows who won screen stardom through their work in versal's hit laugh film, "Buck Privates,'" are back on the screen in a new comedy titled Abbott and Costello and Dick Powell "In the Navy."
