FUTURE OF THE HOME GUARD

MORE ACTIVE THAN EVER

Rumours to the effect that the Home Guard 1 was about to be disbanded which were in wide circulation throughout the district last week, are utterly without foundation. The Home Guard 1 is to-day more necessary than ever and' recruits' are urgently needed. The policy as in the past will be one of progressive training to meet any possible emergency which may arise. Consolidation work is proceeding.
