E.P.S. SLACKERS
Sir, —Allow me the opportunity of congratulating Mr Harry Carr on his outspoken remarks relative to recent subject of E.P.S. Slackers. I can assure you that there are still people in this district who would rather nurse an old grievance, real> or imaginary, than take l an. active part in preparations for the defence of their country. We have all felt resentment in the past at certain actions by the Government, and justly enough have not hesitated to air our views—but when it comes to a question of active defence of our country, surely we are big enough to swallow these little differences and with one accord get our shoulders to the wheel. If we can't do that in the face of a real threat, then it's God help us, for we deserve all that's coming to us.
Yours etc.,
CLEAN AIR.
