I must admit, we- are fighting for free speech in and out of press. * It must be a great satisfaction t<> the majority of the people to note the writer has to go' back to tho war of 1914-48, and the four Colonels to find an excuse, for not taking a part in our local E.P.S. Let him answer, are we fighting for the men he condemns, or for the. British Empire and its people/ Let me quote four E.P.S. and four Colonels. t E.P.S. No. 1: Does this mean examination of past services.' Do we understand, any person can continue, to have sentence passed upon him> after the penalty for such crime has" • been paid by the law of the land. ; If so by whom? % -aN E.P.S. No. 2: Empire J;i Service! Have we to take things as they are now, and guard agaiftsfc.
