FULL MOBILISATION

THE decision to institute 'full mobilisation' of the Dominion's manpower was greet throughout the land with the fullest endorsement. What we are now impatiently awaiting, are details of the Government's plan for putting its decision into practice. The gravity of the times and the fact that Japan talks openly now of Australia and New Zealand as within the projected sphere of expansion, warns us that the speedier this last minute decision is launched in the shape of active measures the better it will be for the Dominion and its peoples. Ten days in military camp for all able-bodied men between the ages of 18 and 60 reads like a,n all-out measure to ensure the maximum garrison army of which the Dominion is capable of producing. .As a people we are ready to accept it and can be depended upon to meet the burden of the new demands to the best of our power and ability. Let us hear more about it!
