PERSONAL
Constable R. T'. Thom, of Gisborne, has taken up duty at Whakatane. Sympathy in the loss of his sister, Mrs Lees, was expressed to Cr F. J. Burt by fellow councillors at yesterday's meeting of the County Council. Before business commenced at yesterday's meeting of the County Council a motion of condolence was passed to Mr C. H. Brebner, whose mother recently passed away. Great pleasure was expressed by County Councillors yesterday when they welsomed back to the table, Cr D. W. Spence, who time has been ill and who underwent an operation.
