MEETING AT OTAKIRI
The December meeting of the Otakiri Women's Institute was held in the form of a Garden Party in A. Woodberry's beautiful gardenThere were 26 members and friends present. After the business for the month had been dealt with members enjoyed a peanut hunt. This was won by Miss Sanders who also won the competition a kitchen and washhouse wedding. Afternoon tea served by Mrs G. Murray and Miss . I. Murray, the president congratulated the Drama Circle on winning the silver fruit bowl in the Drama Festival held recently. The month's < competition winners were: Scrap book, Mirs Dunning 1, Mrs Lord 2, Mrs Cristall 3. Articles in a match " box, Miss TunniclifTe 1 (77), Mrs Gobden 2 (73), Mrs Mackrell 3 (70). Best flower, Mrs Tickner 1, Mrs Lord 2>. Mrs Tickner thanked Mirs Woodberry for the use of her garden.
