•» Mrs A. Hultquist is revisiting VVhakatane and is the guest of Mrs R. Eggers, King Street. At the bi-monthly meeting of the VVhakatane Harbour Board held on Friday all members were present being as follows: W. R. Boon (cliair)man), G. A. Brabant, G. R. Kent, J. A. Mitchell, R. Ru'pldick, A. L. Richardson, C. T. Smith, C. Ticktier and W. Hunter. At Friday's meeting of the Harbour Board on the chairman's motion it Avas resolved that the Board convey to Mirs M. H. Sumner and her son its condolences with them in their bereavement and also that the Board place on record its appreciation of the late chairman's unremitting public service, which as applying to the Board's business had been mostly responsible for placing the affairs of the Board in the present satisfactory condition, and which as applying to the district had done much to foster and improve district industries and amenities. On the chairman's motion it was also resolved that the Board convey to Mrs Hultquist and her daughter its condolences with them in the lamented untimely death of her husband while serving his country over- , seas. !
