TANEATUA-WHAKATANE SHIELD WIN FOR VISITORS The first of three annual games for the Taneatua-Wliakatane Shield was played on the Whakatane greens on Saturday. The weather at first was showery but later cleared up. The greens were playing well and some good bowling was seen, two of the games ending in a draw. Taneatua ran out the winners by 77 points to 71.
