HAPPY COINCIDENCE
PATRIOTIC COMMITTEE'S GRATIFICATION Members of the Taneatua Women's Patriotic Committee were very pleased recently to learn that by a happy coincidence a forwarded overseas had been received by Spr. G. M. McPherson, a soldier of the Taneatua district who is serving in the East. The letter received by Mrs Hill read as follows:— "I would like to express my appreciation and gratitude for the parcel. 'Thanks so much,' is a. mighty poor phrase but I guess it isn't so much the actual words one uses that matter. It is the knowledge that they are spoken from the depths of one's heart that really counts so perhaps you will be kind enough to help me out by conveying a word of thanks to the Taneatua Women's Patriotic Committee for me. I might add fehat the contents of the parcel were in perfect condition and constituted an ideal soldiers parcel."
