MOBILE X-RAY
INCIDENCE OF T.B. PLANT FOUND BY MAORI TRUST BOARD To be assembled at a cost of £2200 paid by the Maori Trust Board, and to be operated and maintained by the four hospital boards in Taranaki. the first mobile X-ray unit in New Zealand is to be purchased as soon qs final arrangements are completed, This important development of a campaign to investigate the incidence of tuberculosis in the province was announced in Hawera, when representatives of the four hospital boards and the South Taranaki provincial executive of the Women's Division of the Farmers' Union and the South Taranaki Federation of Women's Institutes met the Taranaki Maori Trust Board, which earlier discussed the details and agreed to grant the full amount required. Mr Hapi Love, chairman of the trust board, said the fight to preserve the health of the Maoris ngainst the ravages of tuberculosis was a fight against an unseen bullet which must be arrested at the source and disposed of for all time.
