TANEATTJA BRANCH

The monthly meeting of the Women's Division of the Farmers' Union was held on November 18, Mrs Mitchell, vice-president, presiding over a good attendance of members. The chairwoman thanked members who had supported the garden party so liberally, the takings for such a wet day being very creditable. The: secretary read a letter from Mr Twomey thanking members for the large parcel that had been con-* tributed to the Makcgai Leper Settlement by the division members. Competitions were won as follows:—Knitted scarf, Mrs Bennett 1, Mrs Doolan 2, Mrs Mltchelli 3. Mustard pickle, Mrs Mitchell 1, Mrs Anderson 2, Mrs Bennett 3. Flowers (single), Mrs Hayward 1, Mrs Hill 2, Mrs Benett 3. (Double), Mrsr Hayward 1, Mrs Hill 2, Mrs Moore 3. Afternoon tea was served by Misses Yeoman. Prince and Doolon.
