At yesterday's meeting of the VVhakatanc County Council a letter was received from the Commissioner of Transport advising that the question raised in the Council's letter of the 29th October was receiving the attention of the Government and the Council Avill be advised as soon as a decision Avas made. 11l the meantime it had been agreed that when farmers were carrying milk for Iheir neighbours and in daing so exceeded the limits of their heavy traffic licenses during the flush of the milking season, no prosecution will be taken by the Department without first consulting the local body concernedThe letter was received.
