Ragwort Eradication

Work on the clearing of ragwort on unindividualised native and Crown lands commenced on the 3rd November, 13 men being employed at Te Teko and 3 at Pahou. The latter gang has since been increased to 6, and will be further increased as labour becomes available. Operations at Waimana Avill commence next Aveek, 5 men being immediately available in this district. A limited amount of sodium and atlacide on hand, some 20001bs, is being used up, further supplies being unobtainable. Sections covering 114 acres near Te Teko have been sprayed, cutting oinly of an additional 249 acres being done to date in other localities.
