CAIRO, November 1 To meet the accommodation

quirements of New Zealand soldiers on leave, a new Y.M.C.A. hostel was recently opened in Alexandria. Its establishment was another result of the activities of the National Patriotic. Funds Board.

Occupying the ground floor o! what once was a private residence, the hostel has accommodation for from 30 to 40 guests. Lt is situated near the centre of the town, being only five nruutes' walking distance from the main station. Attractive gardens surround the house, Avhile inside two spacious and comfortable lounges add to the general restful air. Indications are that the hostel should become a popular rendezvous for New Zealandcrs on leave.
