tane, who was the National Party candidate at th# last general election has consented to nomination as 4 the National 1 Party candidate for the forthcoming by-election.
This decision was given after a large and roost enthusiastic deputation consisting of represenitaJtiveS from 'ail 1 parts of the electorate waited on him. last nigiht at Whakatane. Every branch pledged its whole hearted support and it is likely that Mr Sullivan will be the only nominee for the National Party selection.
