ENQUIRIES REGARDING LAND

The need for additional convent ences at the west end of the Strand was further considered by the Borough Council at its meeting this week, the proposal having been the subject of investigation for some months. On the recommendation of the Works Committee it was decided that the council enquire of the Harbour Board as. to what terms it would lease a convenient lot fronting the Strand continuation on the northern side, as near as possible to the present built-on portion, for the purpose of the future construction of a rest area with conveniences.
