BATHS FOR SCHOOL
PUPILS EFFORT FOR FUNDS
READY SUPPORT FORTHCOMING
Excellent results are being obtained by pupils of the local school, who, during the past week, have been gathering waste materials for sale, and holding stalls amongst themselves with a view to raising funds with which to provide the school Avith a long felt want in the form of a swimming bath. Their enthusiasm and energy is fully deserving of the ready support from the residents of the town ind district, who have been canvassed for waste materials. The spirit of competition has also stimulated the efforts, a barometer chart in the school indicating the progress of ♦>ach class. With each 10s. earned a square is coloured in red and several of these have been elevated to beyond the £o mark to make the total already in hand over £30. Three classes have passed the £5 mark, and have not relaxed their efforts. The original object was to find the sum of £50, but this total will shortly be reached, and considerably improved upon.
