COMING ATTRACTION
Gary Cooper, co-starred with Madeleine Carroll in Cecil B. DeMille's Teclinicolour picture, "North West Mounted Police," which opens ftt the Regent shortly, wears the same outfit he wore for his picture debut some years ago. Buck-skin pants, a checkered shirt, tiglit-fit-ting vest, a ten gallon hat and q pair of six shooters. Fifteen years Ago the long lanky star was picked from a mob to play the leading role with Eileen Sedgwick in a two reel western. Born in Montana, he attended school in England, high school in Helena and college at Grinnel, lowa. Between times he worked on his father's cattle ranch. His ambition was tp be an artist. As a cartoonist he landed in Los Angeles, wiiere, while broke, he w r as accepted for extra work in pictures.
