A GOOD RECORD
FEW MOTOR ACCIDENTS IN THE BAY NO FATALITIES LAST YEAR Inspector J. H. Delves of the Transport Department, has received statistics of motor accidents which occurred in his district during the year ended March 31, 1941, these revealing that a good record is enjoyed by motorists of this district. During the twelve months not one fatalitj r resulted from a motor accident, although the current year will not return such a clean sheet, there already having been one death when recently a cyclist was struck and killed near Pbroporo. The figures following relate to ac. eidents recorded in the Opotiki and Whakatane Counties and the Whakatane Borough.
