The dance held under the. auspices of the Waimana Golf Club, was well patronised. The music was supplied by the Victory Boys' Band, and an extra played by Mr M. Burke. Mr H. Ward] aw made a most efficient M.C. and Mr Morton was doorkeeper. Boxes of chocolates for competition were won by Mrs Wyklc 1 and Mrs M. King 2. After a delicious home-made supper had been served, the trophies won during the past season were presented, the winners being as under: — Men's A Championship: Mr J. D. Wardlaw; B Championship: Mr M. Burke'. Ladies' A Championship: Miss M. Woolfield; B Championship: Mrs T. Burke. Morton Cup: Mr H. Ruff. Jerram Cup: Miss M. Woolfield. Runner-up Men's A Championship: Mr A. K. Bell. Runner-up Men's B Championship: Mr Henry Wardlaw. Runner-up Ladies' A Championship: Miss R. Macdonald. Runner-up Ladies' B Championship: Miss M. Hughes. Mr Cranswick's Trophy: Mr T. Wardlaw. Runner-up: Mr F. Mitchell Ladies A Eclectic: Miss Woolfield. Ladies' B Eclectic: Miss B. Bell. Ringer Competition: Mrs Schwieter. Hidden Hole Competition: Miss B. Bell. Stableford Bogey: Mrs J. Wardlaw. Mixed Foursome: Mr H. A. Ward-, law and Miss S. Grover. One Club, Men's: Mr Cranswick. One Club, Ladies: Mrs H. Ruff. Men's Fourball: Mr T. Burke and Mr D. Bull. Driving (men): Mr J. D. Wardiaw. Driving" (ladies): Mirs Schweitero (Mrs King's trophy) . Putting (men): Mr A. K. Bell. Putting (ladies): Mrs Ducker (Mrs J. D. Wardlaws trophy'). At the conclusion of the presentation Mr Ducker, president of the club, thanked one and all for their help during the past season, and also those who had helped with the promotion of the dance to make it the success it was. He then called on Mrs Bob Wardlaw to accept n ijift from the members of the goli club and also one for her husband, in appreciation of their many kindnesses during the building of the clubhouse. Mrs Wylde also presented gifts to Mirs King (lady secretary) and Mrs J. D. Wardlaw (captain) from the lady members, in appreciation of their work during the past season. Dancing continued until a late hour when the singing of the Na-> fcional Anthem closed the evening. Among those present were: Mes-. dames J. D.
