An interesting 'suggestion emanating from the Bay of Islands was ■brought forward at last meeting of the Auckland Farmers' Union "when Mr .T. W. Jones moved that car owners should be required to produce, their current certilicate of fitness when applying for their annual re-, Mr Jones said that a very large number of cars were on thn roads with no certificates, and these were not asked for unless an accident occurred. The remit was approved-
