BUTTERFAT RETURNS

The following September figures "have been supplied by Mr W. G. Lemmon, secretary to the Bay of Plenty Dairy Association:—

During September, 1941, 469,363.4 lb of butterfat were received and the sum of £27,122 paid out to suppliers -on the 20th of the month, compared with 519,939.81b fat and a payout ■of £29,775 for the same month in 1940.

This represents a decrease of £2,€53 and 50,576.41b butterfat.

The total amount paid to suppliers for the season, July, August, SeptWrtber, 1941, was £50,393, a decrease of £578 Oh the figure of £50,971 dur--sng the same three month of 1940.

Butter manufactured for the three months ended Septemher, 1941, also showed a decrease of 6 tons 12cwt Iqr 121b, the figures for 1941 and 1940 being 479 tons lcwt Oqr 91b ;and 485 tons 13cwt lqr 12ilb respeo
