At Monday's meeting of the Borough Council it was decided to write

a letter of condolence to Mr R

Brown, Mayor of Te P'uke, whose wife passed away this weel^.

Present at Monday's meeting of the Borough Council were His Worship the Mayor (Mr B. S. Barry), Cirs S. S. Shapley, W. Sullivan, T. Cummings, J. Creek, J. G. Mulhclland, C. G. C'aisley and Mr I>. V. Saunders (town clerk). Messrs F. W. Lysaght (electrical engineer) Rnd W. S. Henderson (foreman-en-gineer) were also* in ■ attendance. Leave of absence was granted Crs C. G. Good, A. J. Canning and C. S. Armstrong.
