NAME FOR A HAI

Sir, —I have taken great interest tn the letters to the Beacon on the above subject and I have followed them carefully. I v-1c in "Oaledonks" letter than lie takes strong exception to "Full o' Scotch's" suggestion of "Standfast" for a name for a hall. "Full o' Scotch" asked him a straight question as to the history of the famous Scottish slogan "Standfast Craigellachie." His history of Scotland seems to fail him and he is stumped properly. Now Mr Editor I see Whustle McWhustle has the iame subject in mind and I as an interested person would think that if all who are so interested in a new name for a hall, were to get busy and suggest a new name for the Caledonian Society of Whakatane it would be a more suitable suggestion. Yours etc., "THERE WILL ALWAYS BE Ai. SCOTLAND."
