LEAGUE OF MOTHERS

MONTHLY MEETING HELD

The monthly meeting of the League ~was held in Knox Hall on Tuesday. Mrs Sullivan presided over a good attendance of members and friends. The meeting was opened by the reading of the Rules and Objects— -■all joining in the League's prayer :iand the prayer for peace.

The programme was given by members. Mrs Rayi Campbell contributed an article written by Helen Keller on "Three Days to See." Mrs .A. E. Bridger read a very interesting description of the guarded life ■led in seclusion by the Empress of Japan., Mrs H. Hogg exhibited samples of arts and crafts made by the natives of Bolivia. The value and use of each article was described by Mrs Hogg, who concluded her talk by a description of the great change wrought in the lives of unenlightened natives, by the missionaries in their work in the schools and churches. Afternoon tea was dispensed by members of the committee. The proceedings closed with the National Anthem.
