ENJOYABLE DANCE

CATHOLIC CHURCH EVENT

The dance held recently at Edgecumbe organised by the Catholic Church proved most enjoyable a large crowd dancing to the lively music of Wardlaw's Melody Boys. Every number both old and modern was enjoyed and dancing continued until a late hour.

A! number of competition winners were announced during the evening as follows: Salad set with silver stand, Mr F. Simpson; Turkey, Mrs O'Brien (Grey Lynn, Auckland); Box of Chocolates, Mrs Boynton. (Waimana); Lucky Spot Waltz, Miss J. Terry and Mr P. Anson;, Mystery Man Waltz, Miss F. Wilson and Mr N. Harris,; Monte Carlo, Mr C'rang and partner.

The M.C. was Mr J. J. Butler, while the capable supper committee comprised Mtesdames Simpson, Rutherford, Mull ins, Withy, Butler, Dodunski, Knight and Miss Ratcliffe.
