Soldiers who know them have conic to look forward to the productions of the Tentaincrs, an amateur dramatic company formed about nine months ago by local residents and Imperial and Colonial troops in the Middle 'East. Several New Zealandcrs have become active members of the Tcntainers, and a high standard of light plays has been produced. The name Tentaincrs is derived from the fact that the company was formed in connection with a well-known soldiers' rccrcation.il tent which is run by local ladies near a New Zealand base camp. The latest production, Booth Tarkington's "The Trysting Place," was performed recently before a large audience of soldiers, and arrangements are already in hand for a repeat performance. The production of these plays lias provided an interesting hobby for those engaged as well as excellent entertainment l'ov the soldiers. Much effort and ingenuity has gone into the creation of settings and this has assisted largely in building up the high standard obtained.
