Inspector J. Delves, of the Transport Department, has resumed duty after his annual vacation.
Mr J. A- T. Henry has been elected president of the Opotiki Tennis Club while the secretary and treasurer is Mr T'. Black.
At the annual meeting of the Te Puke Bowling Club held last week Mr A. E. Spratt was elccted president, Mr E. R. Bartram as; secretary and the duties of treasure J were delegated to Mr El J.i Cooper.
Mr R. J. Mercer, of Edgecumbe, who was involved in the motor accident in which Captain H.i Whitbred, A.D.C. to General Sir Guy Williams, was seriously injured, has resumed work. Mr Miercer was not seriously injured, but his truck was put out of action for some time. 4
