Sales which will interest farmers of the Plains Avill this month be offering close on three thousand head of cattle according to advertisements appearing in our last issue. To-day the Loan and Mercantile will offer at the local yards 1200 head. To-morrow the attraction will be the Te Puke yards when the F.A.C. will pen 100 cattle together with 150 pigs. The Tauranga Bull Sale of the. Loan and Mercantile will be next in order when on the 12th 93 pedigree Jerseys should interest many and this will be followed on September 18 by the Te Puke Cattle Fair of the same firm at which 900 head are scheduled to change hands. The Cattle Fair of the F.A.C. at Te Puke will eventuate on the following Tuesday with 300 head of station bred cattle offering, and to conclude the month's activities the Whakatane A. and P. Showgrounds will be - the scene of the sale organised by the South Bay of Plenty Jersey Cattle Breeders Club, at which 270 head, incluiing 135 pedigree bulls will be on the market.
