On Saturday) last the Bay of PlentySecondary . School representatives played Sacred Heart, the score being 12-3 in favour of the latter fifteen. Local boys who were included in the Ba3' team were Theo Anderson (capt) Allan Mitchell and Jim Law.

TAI MITCHELL SHIELD Matches for the Tai Mitchell Shield at present held by the Whakatane primary school* commenced at Tauranga yesterday!. The trophy was last competed for in 1939 when the competition between Bay of Plenty and Matamata schools was held at Rotorua, but owing to difficulties over billeting arrangements no competition was held last year.
