In "The Great McGintv " Brian Donlevy had four bruising fights and worked three days in drenching rain. In "Christmas in July," Dick Powell spent two days in a free* for-all fight with overripe vegetables and fruit as the weapons. In "The Lady Eve," the new Paramount comedy starring Barbara StanwycK and Henry Fonda, which opens at the Regent on Friday next. Stur«. ges went " all out" on being rougf* on Fonda. This hero in the picture falls over a sofa face-downward into u platter of mushy food, sprawls into a mud puddle, is drenched with hot coffee, suffers a platter of roast beef to fall in his lap, is conketf over the head by a falling hat box,, and is twice tripped to the floor bv Mass Stanwyck.
