A't the Taneatua ground to-morrow a match is to be played, between tlie Maori and Pakeha fifteens of the Whakatane Union for the Jackson Shield. The teams will be chosen from the following players:—

morrow:— Fullback: Poroa (Tauranga). Three-quarters; Sellars (Whakatane), Willoughby, Faulkner (Tauranga).
Five-eighths: R£tima (Rangitaiki) Morrison (Rotorua).
Halfback: Lendruni (Opotiki)
Forwards: Delamere (Opotiki),
IVfathieson (Rotorua), Bell (Tauranga), Hughes (Whakatane), Ranwhero (Rotorua), Wliitely, Phillips (Rangitaiki), Tairua (Opotiki).
Emergencies: R. Hall, Tata (Tauranga), C. Moore (Whakatane), M. Lees (Rangitaiki).
Bus will leave Opotiki "at 6 a.m. ; Saturday morning picking up Whakatane, Rangitaiki and Rotorua
players.

TOURNAMENT AT TAURANGA
The following team has been selected to represent the Whakatane Schools at the Tai Mitchell Shield Tournament to be held at Tauranga. next week:— Backs-: Huta (Paroa), Goodall (Capt., Whakatane), L. Henderson (Whakatane), R. Henderson (Whakatane), Davis (Thornton), B. Hudson (Whakatane), Martin (Paroa), Rawreti (Matata). Forwards: Bell, Fleming (Waimana), Mundy, Rutherford (Edgecumbe), Gattsche, Laloli (Whakatane), W. Pryor, R. Dale (Te Teko), W. Charley (Otakiri).
This team gave a good exhibition of football on Saturday last when they defeated the Opotiki Schools representatives by 11 to nil.. Messrs Seebeck and Nauman accompany the
team to Tauranga.
